A fairly decent day at the club house. Some journalist stopped by to make an article about how incompetent the government is at building and keeping club locales going. Unfortunately they are a flaky bunch. Who cant pull their head out of the trash can. But enough of that nonsense. One of our younger members have decided to cosplay as Maka from Soul Eater. Which on it’s own is a brilliant idea. Though that being said, making shoes and such from any series coming to life is struggle in on its own. However it is ultimately doable. Here is a prime example on how it can be done. The soles are just foam mats, whilst the fabric on top is just that. Black cloth and thread, with white lining, made to look like the ones Maka wear in the series. Me on the other had was fiddling with the idea of making a Pokeball.

BLACK HALLOWEEN!

This year the ever so spooky holliday came on a Monday, so the ones running did the only sane thing to do. Arrange a costume party. One with tasty snacks, simple decorations and a nightmare before Christmas. Since the club is small and cozy, the party was a blast. Since the gang is awesome   at BLACK, we also had a very informal costume contest. A scavenge hunt, where a lot of letters held clues to the next hint and a online quiz.
All in all a very nice evening, during the most wet and miserable time of the year.

Black Monday!

Velkommen til den uoffisielle, BLACK bloggen. En blog dedikert til det som skjer på BLACK og andre prosjekter jeg sysler med. BLACK er kort for Bergen Live action cosplay club. Klubben kan du finne på ungdomshuset i Fyllingsdalen ungdomshus, der deler vi hus med en del andre klubber også, som Regnteateret. Adressen og et kart finner du i liken under. Vi er åpen vær mandag og tirsdag fra 18:00 til 22:00. Klubben følger skole kalenderen, det vil si at den er lukket i feriene. Mer info finner du på Facebook siden vår.

VI er alltid på jakt etter kreative sjeler som trenger hjelp til prosjekter, eller bare en plass å jobbe. På våres sjarmerende og koselige loft har vi det mest av verktøy. Medlemmer kan også få hjelp til å skaffe en del eksotiske materialer som søvlteip ol.

Welcome to the Cult of Cosplay, a blog dedicated to the things that happens at Bergen Laive Action Cosplay Club.  A cozy little place in the the town of Bergen in Norway. It is a place where people can visit and join, in order to discuss and plan cosplay. Our lovely entourage of members have lots of fun coming up with brilliant cosplay ideas and trying to execute them.

It is a commonly known fact that most people do not have the work space, nor the knowledge of assembling a decent and functional costume. However BLACK can provide all of that.

We have a nice workshop, at an easy to reach location. A lot of resources and plenty of tools go around. However we can always use more members. The fee is 50 NOK each year.
